Cards | Celebrate & Thanks

Hello roadies! This is Stacy here today on the Mayaroad blog with 2 cards to share. These 2 cards are inspired by this gorgeous Mayaroad die - Geometric Hexagon Die. 2 cards with just 1 die - how awesome is this die! Here is the first of the cards, using the positive die-cut. I cut several pieces of the die-cut with white cardstock and arranged them in a geometric fashion. Each of these hexagons are actually a layer of 2 pieces of die-cuts to enhance the texture of the background. Since I was going to be using white on white cardstock, I...

Upcycle Banner Mail Bag

Hi Roadies! Belly's on the blog today. Upcycle projects are always one of my fave, and this is a very hot topic nowadays too. Luckily I found a few unused banners days before, and I love so much the red, I decided to use them for making bags, they are waterproof and durable, I simply used double sided tape and Maya Road Twine to bind them together. This photo took on 2010, where my daughter was 3. Die-cutting is the most I used these days on layout, just because they are flexible to...

Mixed Media on Pallet

Hi Roadies! Belly's on the blog today. I didn't touch my scrapbooking beauties for a month, because my son is going to have an important exam in mid April, I have to help and go with him. But I can't stop myself to play with this DIY Wood Mini Scroll Pallet once I received it, the shape and size is perfect to make a hanging sign for my house front door. I love mixed media very much, so that's what I've done on this pallet, I adhere scrapbook papers on the pallet and add a few acrylic colors on it...

Christmas Mini Pallet

Hi there!  Katrina with a quick little Christmas DIY decor project that would be great for a girl's night together to celebrate the holidays!! A 4x4 inch wooden pallet, a 3.5x3.5 inch piece of pattern paper, some embellishments, ribbon or twine and you are set!   I cut the pattern paper smaller than the pallet, because I wanted the pallet to show for that handmade, homey look.  You can't really see it but I used some of the mini pompom trim at the bottom.  You could also use the double dot crochet trim for this.  After I had gotten this...
