12x12 layout banner charms chipboard design team project Jill Keller ken oliver vintage trim layout pennant Resin Steel Dies stick pins Trim Vintage Findings

Hey there Roadies!  It's Jill with my last post for the Maya Road Design Team.  While this is definitely a bittersweet moment, I'm super excited to share all the great things I was able to do when I combined the Chameleon Pens with the Maya Road embellishments!

My first project was a 12x12 layout, of course!  I used two lovely Chameleon colors that complimented my paper choices, PK02 and BL3.  I die cut two feathers using the Geometric Feather Die, then colored the feathers with that beautiful PK02 marker, making sure to get a gorgeous ombre color after following the super simple directions included with the markers.

After adding my photo and a few embellishments, I used PK02 again, this time coloring right over the Porcelain Pink Resin Nesting Bird; using the alcohol markers gave some depth and to all the pretty little details of the bird.

Below the photo I wanted another feminine touch, so I colored the Kev Oliver Vintage Trim with BL3, gluing the seam binding down in a rumpled fashion, then machine-stitching through it once the glue dried.  I stuck two Silver Star Pins into the bow for more detail.

I couldn't resist trying the Chameleon Pens on a few more Maya Road items, so I added a Linen Mini Pennant Banner with the word "LOVE" using the Danielle Mini Alphabet Chipboard Set.  The PK02 marker added just the tiniest hint of color to both the pennant pieces and the chipboard alphas.

I love the way my girly page featuring my mom and daughter turned out.

As a companion piece to my layout, I made a tag with a mini photo to hang in my daughter's room.  I started with my favorite PK02 Chameleon Pen, coloring the entire tag.  Next I used PK02 to color a Vintage Pearl Rose, then added some splashes of blue using BL3 on the Ken Oliver Vintage Mum Flower Trim.  As a final touch I tied a Soaring Bird Charm onto Ken Oliver Vintage Trim with a piece of twine from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Maya Road blog today!  And special thanks to the team at Maya Road for giving me such an amazing opportunity to work with these lovely products.  I have enjoyed every second crafting with Maya Road!
